After Effects and Procreate

Description

I drew up the first video, the frame by frame animation, in procreate. I chose the "sidewinding" motion some snakes use to travel quickly through the desert. It was a lot more complex of a movement than it seems to be, especially for how quickly it's done. Snakes essentially plant their head and move their body sideways with lots of it lifted to reduce friction. The second video is an abstracted version using the original animation in after effects. Using the video duplicated and mirrored I liked the shape that the paths of the snakes formed together.
